The government of Andhra Pradesh encourages bright students for higher education through their scholarship programs.
The eligible students can apply for scholarships under the AP epass scheme. The scheme enables the students from economically weaker sections to afford corporate education by economic aid for their tuition fees through the scholarships. Once the application is accepted during the first academic year, the subsequent students can go for renewal every year to avail scholarships.
AP ePass Scholarship Application Process:

The students from the economically backward class of the society would be eligible for these scholarships. In fact, epass Andhra Pradesh is the most effective way to get the benefit of the government’s encouragement for higher education for the economically backward classes. This scholarship scheme is targeted at the lower income groups belonging to Scheduled Cast/ Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class sections. The candidates can follow the step by step instructions available on the official website to complete their online application and need to submit it well within the last date.
AP ePass Scholarship List – Pre-matric & post-matric:

The Major emphasis of the AP epass scheme is on higher education for the eligible students. The professional courses such as engineering, medical, dental, pharmacy, computer applications, and management would be covered under the scheme. Additionally, the degree and postgraduate courses in arts, commerce, and science are also covered under the scholarship scheme. The students acquiring education at the intermediate level, polytechnic and ITI can also submit epass scholarship application and take the benefit of the scheme.

- Categories other than SC/ST/BC
- SC/ST candidates with an annual income of more than 2 lakhs
- BC/OBC and disabled students with an income of more than one lakh
- EBC students studying in intermediate level courses
- Students getting stipend more than the scholarships
- BC/ EBC / DW students learning through open universities, distant learning schemes and category B seats in medical and dental, etc.
Would not be eligible for the scholarship.
The students can look out for Documents to upload online and prepare the documents well before the due date. The documents include:
- Scanned Aadhar card of the student
- Mother and Father’s Aadhar card
- Ration Card
- Income Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Bank Account Number & Details
- Residence Certificate
- Testimonials of the academic qualification
- Mobile number.
Documents needed to apply need to be produced within one month from the online application. Therefore the students need to get the certificates and documents from the concerned authority well within time and submit the documents in time.
The Dates that are the deadlines for submitting the applications are announced through the website. For the academic year 2018-19 all the applications for AP epass must be submitted online till November 2018.
